Abstract
Nanotechnology is a cutting-edge field of contemporary science, allowing the manipulation of matter at the atomic and molecular level, opening up new perspectives in medicine, electronics, energy and advanced materials. However, the rapid development of this technology raises a number of major ethical and social questions. Among the central issues are the safety of the use of nanomaterials on human health and the environment, transparency in research and application, and the risk of a new social division generated by unequal access to emerging technologies. Nanotechnology also raises dilemmas related to surveillance, modification of the human body and potential military applications. This study aims to explore both the benefits and ethical risks of nanotechnology, highlighting the importance of clear regulation and ongoing moral reflection to ensure the responsible and equitable development of this technology.
